It appears that Karl Lagerfeld has done it again, as his offerings for Chanel Spring 2010 are absolutely fantastic! The show itself was young and hip, presented in a "country style" setting, with surprise guest models and a performance by Lily Allen. Despite all of the theatrics (which would have been grand to see in person no doubt), it was ultimately the clothes that did the talking. Karl remained true to Chanel roots, showing a classic chic look in a fairly neutral colour palette comprising of beautiful fabrics. Although he did manage to add a youthful kick, which worked surprisingly well (was the Chanel skirt suit always that short??) While I find myself leaning towards a more classic ladylike look at late (see first image - the joy!), I couldn't help to be pleased to see that there were a few rock and roll offerings to be found. I bet you won't find these skinnies at your local grunge pub!
